Snow + Sierra one
Do you think the Tippmann Sierra one is capable of taking some snow to the body and blow back piece?

Absolutely. It is the same marker, (essentially) as the 98 series. I have been playing with them in snow many years. Also, played in 25 degree weather yesterday, and there were many Sierra One's there

Like said, yup. Ive had mine get filled with sand and still work afterwards once after I lent it out. Chewed up my orings and scored it a bit, but she still worked.

USE HPA not CO2 if your playing in cold weather.

Tippmann and the US Army line of markers are very durable. I don't see you have any issues playing in the snow but you will want to be a little more cautious if you have an e-trigger kit installed.

I have to say those PE boards are tough as h***. Have not really gone hardcore ballin in the snow, but just about everything else including sudden downpours in tournaments. My ego and geo have been soaked in rain and mud and still perform without fail. Never a fried board.

I have always been told to be careful with those type of markers because the boards fry, half the reason why I only use Tippmann my Custom 98 in the snow.

That's crap...the board has a conformal coating to protect it from the elements. If you go swimming with it you will have problems but I have used all my electros in snow and rain...no problemo.

To reply to the original question, any Tippmann platform will perform well in the snow as there are few orings to deal with. Use some restraint when using electric tippmans in the snow as any moisture getting into the gun for whatever reason could do some harm to the electronics but not in most cases. The general rule for markers in the snow I find is the less orings on the bolt the better.
