Battery question on demon.
Is it just me or does the battery take forever and a day to charge?
I haven't even gotten a chance to start my other battery.

Completely agree. I can't even get it to charge properly. Bought a new battery and same thing.

It does take a while the first time but you have to leave it on and make sure you don't overcharge it. After the first charge, it usually gets a bit quicker.

Yup.
It's a very slow trickle charge.

Try using your phone charger instead of the vanguard charger.

I did. No bueno. Battery still takes forever to charge and sometimes even discharges. I'll check on it around 3 hours or so of charging (ex 20% to 55%) then check on it a little while later again and it will be down to 15%! Something's wrong

Sounds like the boards need an update to me. Too many people with this problem.

It sometimes takes a long time to get my battery up to 100% but I only charge it like once a month. Never had it go below 50%. I'd say it's time to send it in to Frank and see what he can do.

Actually first time I sent my gun to him, I received it back with a broken board (must've been during shipping) . Anyways, he sent me a replacement board and I also bought a new battery. It's been acting up since I got the new board. Any thoughts on this Frank?

I do notice my demon charges a lot faster if I 'keep it active' by messing with menu every 20 minutes or so. I've actually seen it drop in % while 'charging' if its 'asleep'. Anyone else seen this?

Hmmm regardless of the charger it shouldn't drop in power while charging. That's weird. Is it possible some of the boards are just shorting out on the grip frame somehow? Maybe through the screw holes?

the only time my markers have discharged while charging is if I leave them plugged in for an extended period of time past 100%.. all 3 of my vanguard markers (1 creed, 2 demons), and my girlfriends 2 (1 creed, 1 demon) have no charging issues either using the rapid charger that came with our creeds, or the charger that comes with the demon, weird that you guys have having issues :/

Same... Not sure why people are crying about charge times, such an inconvenience to charge a battery the day before you go and play and that charge lasts me 3-4 months at the MINIMUM...
and to the people, these are li-poly batteries! stop expecting them to be like a li-ion, completely different types of batteries, charge times, discharge rates, and how these batteries discharge to the standard li-ion, just be glad they are not a low quality li-ion or ni-cad batteries.
and by the way, if your going to store your gun for extended times, best to not put on a charger and leave it for days unless its a SMART charger that shuts off when it hits a full charge.. Also unplug your battery from the board so its not slowly discharging from being plugged in like every battery in this world will do.
You guys WANT a slow charge..
since most of you guys have no idea how to take care of a lipoly

Most of you that dont know. Li poly needs to cycle a few times before you get a consistent charge. I rather have a slow charge that i can monitor than a fast charge that i can forget about, then burn my board.

Is there a way of charging the battery outside the gun? I come from a R/C car background and all batteries are charged outside the cars/buggies for quick change. Would this be possible?

i wouldnt recommend it. but i would recommend a proposal to a board company such as APE to make an OLED board for the demon/creed and just have a regular 9v battery. what you think?
