Hi, I've tried to look at diagrams of the ion and xe but didn't see any as well as techt pictures of the bolts.
They look similar but it says that the L7 XE bolt does not work on the Ion.
Is the difference the plug?

I think the bolt stops are different sizes.

Yes I think that's the case, the reason being is that the ION XE's firing chamber is milled a bit larger than the ION firing chamber. I'm pretty sure the L7 bolt for the ION will work on the ION XE as long as you replace with certain o -rings, not sure what sizes though......

the bolt stops are different the ion l7 stop has a ridge cut into it for the can the xe stop doesnt it is flat due to the bob abilities you can not use a xe stop in a ion im not sure if the ion l7 can go into an xe though maybe but also maybe not
