Have you tried resetting your board to default settings. Maybe something is off there. I know I have accidentally changed stuff that did not go well.

Bad paint?
do you have the newer off-set detents?
possible board setting - one of the delays is too short?
hopper ball stack tension too high?
low battery in FX?
eyes not working?
too much underbore?

There is probably a few possibilities that I missed but this is a start. There are several possibly reasons why, you'll have to narrow it down a bit and provide a little more info .

Check your battery first. Also take off those eye covers and clean the eyes really well. Even a little bit of paint on them will cause them to chop.

I have the same problem when I had my FX. Someone told me here to remove one of the detent or get the newer set of detent from DP because the older detent in FX is hard on paint. I remove one of the detent on mine and fixed that problem.

you can try trimming them. make sure they keep the ball in place.

also, check to make sure the gun does not fire when there is no paint present (eyes on)

The eyes work fine, I think it is the detents. the way the paint is sprayed on the breach and in the barrel is only on the detent groves, the front of the bolt, and the barrel. i will try it out once i get to my feild.

either or. The techt detents seem to work well. in a perfect world, you would have them as short as possible while still holding the ball back. Also, the loader will press down ont he ball stack and will want to push the ball into the detents do dont ride on the edge of to short.

make sure the batteries in your hopper are new/good, also what do you use for a hopper? i was using a halo too before my rotor and i would always bust paint. do you have the standard bolt or the techt one?

also your eyes may not be dirty but make sure they work consistently, no loose wires or connections, otherwise they will be thrown off, just verify it by using your finger

I use to own an Fx and i had this problem many times.. To fix this... Cap your gun to shoot no faster than 15bps for both eyes on and off. Trim your detents where if you look at it standing up it makes a triangle. Clean eyes and dab a very small amount of lube on the sensor and it will work just fine. Seriously try this and if it doesn't work then you might have a problem with your bolt settings
