Spacers + BPS + Consistency for a Geo2
Hey guys,
Not to sure what they're called, but the spacers which you can put on the bolt guide (two very thick black rubber bumpers is the best description I can give), what are they for?
I was told it's better to use when you're going to play with reball because you can bring your pressure down and keep it more consistent. I did get that, it jumped about 250 +-2 fps, which I've never seen before (stock dwell).
However, the drawback with that is that the BPS dropped by 3-4. How come? Is it choking something? FYI, I was using both spacers.
Later on, I just tried one of the spacers in. FPS was more erratic, and the BPS count was still less.
I took out both spacers and the BPS came back up to 10.5bps, but then the fps went all over the place +-20 fps. I know the importance of matching up ball and bore size, but that is just ridiculous.
I even played with the dwell. Just playing around, I took it down to 9ms, and it was working just fine (even at 30bps, not problems) but still fluctuating a fair bit.
Brought up the dwell past stock to see what would happen (can't remember exactly how much, but it was past 12.5ms, probably around 13-14ms). Still, fps is jumping around like a Mexican jumping bean.
Also, I would like to note that whenever I adjusted the dwell, I also adjusted the velocity screw to keep it around 250 fps (because it's a reball).
So, any ideas as to what is going on or what to do? And I lubed the bolt, but not the reg during that practice.
