Etha EMC Buttstock Help & Ideas

Hey guys. I've been slowly trying to get my Etha milsim project off the ground. I love all the pics out there with the CAR/Magpul CTR style collapsible stocks, but when I tried one, the stock tube and my mask didn't get along too well. Even with a red dot sight mounted on the side, I can't seem to get my eye's comfortably behind it due to my mask running into the stock.

So, to alleviate the problem, I tried a RAP4/Tacamo SOCOM ASA mounted air through stock. This was the result:

(Please note this is not my Etha...lolz)

This configuration helped with head/mask placement behind the sight, but the stock doesn't extend far enough for me to shoulder it well. In addition, it, well, kind of makes the gun look unbalanced.

So, I'm now back to square one. I would prefer to go with the collapsible CAR/CTR stock configuration as it was designed to use. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make this work short of cutting the right side of my mask off...lolz?

Thanks for your time.

Have you considered just putting one of those stock-esque covers over the back of a 68ci tank? Not very milsim-looking but it functions very well.

I've never heard of or seen a buttstock accessory for a 68 tank. I've seen 'em for CO2 tanks.

There is a bit of a snag with using that particular stock - there are no mounting holes at the bottom of the Etha's grip frame that would allow for an aftermarket drop down, drop forward, or even a t-stock. A good machine shop could drill and tap the mounting holes, but it looks like it would be screwing into polymer which may not hold up as well as aluminum.

The Tippmann dogleg stock would certainly be something to look at.

I found out last week that one of my teammates is the man behind Killjoy Industries. He introduced me to his ROC Stock 2.0. He is sending me a raw example for me to try out. It has the same advantage of the Tippmann dogleg stock with the added advantage of having an adjustable length.

You can check it out for yourself at: http://www.killjoyindustries.com/roc...wshipping.html

When it gets here, I'll take some pics and post 'em up.
