Tacoma or ridgeline
Ok I know people are going to hate in this because they're "not real trucks" yea whatever...it's what I want not you so don't tell me get something else unless there is valid reason. I don't want a big truck per say but want a 4 door. The two I've fallen onto is the Toyota Tacoma double can pre runner and the Honda ridgeline. I'm leaning more towards the taco. I've driven both but everyone's opinion I get is biased. Step dad owns a Honda dealer so he says Honda, most of my family works there so they say Honda. Other people are anti Honda and say Toyota because they don't like Hondas...so I want legitimate reasons why I should get one or the other. So lets see what people have to say...and trolls stay away or ill hit you with a UV light

I think you should drop the Honda Vs Toyota argument and come up with some legitimate questions comparing the two trucks.
Do you want to sacrifice a larger cab for a smaller bed?
Do you plan on towing or trailering anything with it?
How often do you have more than one person that you need a double cab?
Compare motor sizes to MPG
Compare fuel tank sizes
Compare warranties
Compare 4wd systems if equipped or necessary
Compare accessories and trim packages like dual zone hvac, leather vs fabric interior, electronics packages etc.

Automag this is why I ask these questions. Only thought of a few things that you mentioned.
Right now I have a 2011 accord coupe. It's too small for me to bring all my gear around (I'm in the army) so I was looking into a truck one because I've always wanted one. Two because I can carry more stuff seeing I drive to and from Texas to Florida every couple months bringing stuff back and forth. I had to settle on a small *** tv cause I couldn't get the size I wanted into my car lol. Basically want a ****** vehicle for carrying stuff and able to fit people I'm it lol

Keep in mind that this is the last year for the ridgeline( and Chevy avalanche). You also may want to re-evaluate your options in consideration of space, need and fuel economy. There are some small crossover options for the money that will save you at the pump and be a nicer ride then either the ridgeline or Tacoma. Essentially how much space do you NEED ? And do you actually need a truck at all.

Don't necessarily need a truck but it's more convenient with what I bring places. I like I said I'm in the army so I have alot of stuff. When I get back from afghaniland I have t bring sooo much crap home with me. My car won't hold it and I've gotten stuck driving to some of my friends who live on dirt roads when it rains lol.

I would look at crossovers. Assuming it is just you and your stuff making the long trips you could fold the seats down and load up a lot of stuff.

You want a truck to move more stuff when you move from TX to FL?
You need a ****ing hatch or SUV. What happens if it rains on your way?

That's obviously not the only reason why...I want a truck for stated reasons and because I just want one lol getting stuck in a small *** car is no fun, having to make multiple trips to get all of my army crap and normal crap is miserable. It's between those two trucks. And if I make it to my moms place I'm bringing my boat...this was I just talked to her about today lol

You're in the army? You need a lifted 2500, preferably a diesel with stacks so you can be like every other army douche spending money he doesn't have. :sortadodgy:
In all seriousness, I would get the Tacoma for the simple fact that I like trucks to be trucks. It does all the things you'd need it to, looks decent while doing it and is a simple and reliable vehicle. Also, being in the army the chance of you taking a several month vacation to one of the most miserable places on earth is pretty good so the resale value of the Tacoma won't exactly hurt either.
