DM12/13 vs Luxe vs Clone GT
So I can get a clone or DM for 1k or spend 1.6k on a Luxe.... Any opinions?
Btw I play XBall, USPA....so efficiency and smoothness are key...
I love DMs, but am being told the clone is on point.

Well, if efficiency is important, then the GT is really the only choice in those 3.
Smoothness, the DM might win by a little over the other 2, but when PROPERLY set up, they're all very close.
I personally despise the feel of the Luxe, so wouldn't even personally ever consider spending money on one.
As far as what you're told, yes. GT is more efficient, just as smooth, WAY better board, internally plumbed so no macro, and IMO has a better stock trigger. Dye is a bit more comfortable in the hand, but not a huge difference.

If you're gonna buy a DM buy an older one used, they all shoot the same.

The GTi is very promising. I'd consider adding a vcom to the options too.

If I were considering a NIB purchase this off season, I'd wait another month or two to see what all hits the market and how the initial reviews go. Supposed to be a lot of new options displayed at PBE.

Clone out of these 3. Also, if you Dm9 is only getting 5 pods, try rebuilding the LPR to get it back up to its regular efficiency.

I was going to go with the clone and spoke to several people on here about the clone..that being said after I met with a couple of gt owners they said the clone is awesome shooting and a sweet gun BUT it is unreliable.. That may not be the case for some people so I jus went with the luxe 2.0 it's proven and it shoots really smooth and quiet if you spend that much on a gun and you have all day air at most parks what should a pod or two matter.. Just my opinion. Not to mention the luxe has a great resale value

Have to throw it in. Really amazing shooters, efficient to boost, and feels great in hands. DM's are slightly smoother but only slightly. The price tag for a Luxe for what I feel is an upgraded Shocker is a bit of a turn off.
Please everyone this is my opinion. Don't flame me for not liking Luxe's

how many pods are you tryna use? luxe can get easy 7-9 pods off a 68/45, i used up 4 pods and half a hopper with still around 2k psi left earlier. i think its the best out of 3, the smoothness and the feel of it is just awesome. if want a cheaper gun though then go for a dm9 cuz that just shoots as good as any new dms . then gt is realllllly smooth too and pretty efficient as i hear, but i just dont like the feel of it.
