NPPL to use PSP style bunker kit?
Heard a rumor at the field today that NPPL was considering a move to the PSP style bunkers, or at least eliminating the car wash and cube.......anyone else here this?
Seems like a good move. Capitalize on the majority of fields already having those bunkers....

its actually a bad move. their bunkers need to be unique to their own league or else they just sucking in to PSP.

I have actually, legitimately heard this is a consideration. Didn't know it was going around.... I can see it as a potentially positive thing as a movement towards getting more teams to try NPPL that haven't, but on the other hand I can also see it appearing to be the NPPL folding to the PSP's way of things.......time will tell.

Nppl and psp didnt make the decision. Sup air told millenium and psp and nppl every league is havin the same bunker except four bunkers that are unique to which ever league.

The format of 7man needs larger bunkers like washes and cubes for people to be allowed to stay alive due to the extra guns on the field.
It will never happen.

I've heard about this for a few months now actually. Them making the bunkers more like psp, and getting rid of the car wash and cube. Wouldn't be fat-man friendly anymore

1st we must remember that a tournament league is a business, which needs to find a way to appeal to as many teams as possible. More teams = more money = better events = more teams. If all the leagues have 44 or so of the same bunkers then 4-6 signature bunkers it accomplishes 2 goals. 1st it makes it easy for fields that have only 1 airball field to buy a upgrade kit and suddenly have the ability to format for both leagues, or have a close approximation even with no upgrade kit. 2nd, by having this ability, more teams can practice the format of an upcoming NPPL in their vicinity. With the field size at 170x100 it fits in the old NPPL field layouts as well as PSP layouts. As a business move, this should increase attendance since any field who had formatted for the old PSP 120x170 can quickly rearrange and have a NPPL layout giving far more teams ample ability to practice and generate more interest. Also, im sure their signature bunkers would provide for the extra size, but that is conjecture of course.
