So i was looking for a smaller pod pack for rec ball / woodsball... seams like the only thing really out there in 2+3 are vest packs... I found one I like but it is listed on ebay as a vest pack and I am not sure how they attach to the vests... can I put it on my belt?

That link doesn't work for me, but this pod pack is great for rec play as long as you don't blow through paint. It can hold 2 pods standard, but if you find yourself in need of more paint (like if you switch to airball or go to a scenario game), it can hold up to 7 total pods.

Just got a Spyder 4+1 myself. I only carry 1 or 2 pods of paint but I wanted it to run my tank remote. Works well.

They attach with Molle webbing. The pod pack itself in the link has the male end, while the vest or whatever you are attaching it to has the female portions.

Top is an example of female, which usually covers tac vests and the like.
Bottom is the male end, which is how the attachments hook on.

Don't mess with trying to rig something up. All you'll end up doing is wasting money because it won't work out quite right and you'll have to spend more money to get something else.

The best comfort and utility for the money I've found for a pack is this one from Flurry.

It comes with all of the attachments that you see in the picture so you can set it up any way you want. Run 1 pod, or 2 or 5 and angle them how you want to as well. You can use the tank holder if you want or leave it off. it has a mask strap too so you can hang your mask when not playing.
