Axe vs. Ego 08 vs. Ego 09

Sorry if I have been making a lot of threads. But I want to make sure I get the right gun this time. I have now focused my guns on the ones in the title. I really like the look of the 09s but I want to know what you think and WHY!

The ego9 if plank'd/ barb'd is a great gun. The axe is always a great option especially with a boss or eigenbolt. I like smoother, quieter guns so for my preferences I'd go with the axe.

The Ego 08 is my favorite marker by Planet Eclipse, and one which I own, because of the reliability and efficiency of it, and very easy maintenance. The Ego 09 is my least favorite Ego made by Planet Eclipse. I also have an upp'd axe pro, which is a bit different than the stock axe, but still similar. It is very smooth and quiet, and feels great in the hands. The Ego 09 will be the most expensive out of the 3 markers, with the ego 08 and stock axe being about the same price used, depending upon who you are dealing with. It's all personal preference really in this situation, both great companies. Only drawback to the 08's are the QEV's, which really aren't that big of a deal.

This may be stupid.. But all the guns that I have owned, I never had to maintain them. They weren't very good. But what is a QEV?

QEV = Quick Exhaust Valve

They were kind of a roll over from autococker rams.

Yea it's the only drawback in my opinion to the ego 08s. Usually you have to replace them every couple of years (just recently replaced mine) but it's only like $20 so not a bad deal (although I got mine for free luckily).

This ^ plus the Ego 09 needs a plank kit.

If I were to choose, it would be close 08 too old for me. 09 is a good choice as I like Ego's in general. Best choice of 3 would be an Axe smooth, efficient, and realiable plus newest of the three. IMO

Believe it or not it's why I prefer the 07 over the 08 ego. On the 07 you can do the banjo mod and remove the QEV and never have to worry about it. http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=2882283

Yea, I'm thinking about doing that to my teammate's ego 07

The mod is easy, but it is a PITA trying to get the macroline on the fricken barb. It is just one less thing to worry about.
