higher dwell to lower bps

are there any negative side effects to running a really high dwell of like 15 to lower bps other than increased air consumption? i have to shoot below 10.5 for a tournament and the lowest i could get it othrewise was 12.5. tadao m8. stock engine.

Raising the dwell won't effect the bps by the amount your wanting to lower it...

Be sure your reading the up to date board manual to ensure your board will be able to go low enough.

If you really need to, up the bip and bolt delay. Shoot over a pact timer to get a accurate reading.

i have, and raising the dwell does lower the bps. i have all other bps limiting settings maxed out and could only get it down to 12.5 ish. raising the dwell to 15 got it right at 10.5. and im shooting over a pact timer.

Maxing out the bps cap makes it unlimited...

Be sure you actually read the manual..

FYI - Is the ROF cap maxes at 22 blinks it will cap at 10 bps.

seriously dude. i have the bps setting at its lowest(1 blink). bip and bolt delay are maxed out and im using dwell to tweak the bps. im not an idiot. geez. if you have ever shot a smart parts gun (an og one anyway) you would know that increasing the dwell changes the rof. i just want to know if an excessively high dwell is doing anything negative to my gun. i dont need someone to explain my manual to me. im pretty sure its an unflashed tadao where the lowest rof seting is like 14.5.

Your shoot count is going to go way down. That's about it.

more dwell will keep the bolt forward longer but its a terrible way to control your rof.

i guess if you maxed out your eye settings and still shooting too fast then you can add dwell. if it works, it works i guess. 15ms dwell wont make the gun shoot any more consistent.

stock dwell is 6-8. ive never found any marq to shoot better at anything over 8ms. anything more just made it a little louder.

id rather just go in one fingering the trigger than run 15ms...

Because just got this gun 2 days ago and tadaos turnaround time is more than 2 days. I certainly plan on it.
