thread sealant?

Can someone tell me what the sealant is on air fittings you get from retailers, the tan/brown stuff. I would like to get some.

That tan/brown stuff is a type of plumbers putty as I recall.
Teflon tape applied correctly will get the job done for you though.

Well I normally use blue Loctite. I was wanting to use what they usually come with.
