SP8 without regulator

I just got a used SP8 cheap. The guy who had it before ran C02 by taking off the bottomline and regulator and running a remote line straight. I dont have the reg or bottomline now and was wondering can I still adjust velocity and will gun work ok on HPA now.

Also is the ION oring kit the same? I need rebuild the orings.

The only way to really adjust the input pressure is by adding a regulator. These guns were not made to be used without one. The operating pressure is only around 200psi and the output pressure on a co2 tank can be up to 900psi. You could damage the solenoid or any of the internal hoses. You can find ion regulators on ebay. Also yes the o ring kits are the same. Hope this helped!

The SP8 is 100 percent Ion underneath all the plastic. Ion O-ring kits will work. Also, I highly suggest switching to using a regulator and HPA if you can. The regulator threads are industry standard, to pretty much any reg will screw into it and work without issue.

As it sits now, there is no way to adjust the input pressure, or FPS, on the gun. The regulator that came with it on the factory was how the input, and therefore the FPS, was adjusted.

Like predator said, its just an ion with a fancy body kit. I wouldnt even try to use it without a regulator.

And it worked?
How did this not immediately blow out the solenoid?
