i got my bomb swab in and thought ok great something that wont shed and will clean well.
first thing i did was run it through a couple of freak inserts i got in the mail, one of them had old paint in it, now the tip of my swab is sticky and it wont come out, i tried running some watter over the tip to loosen up the paint but now the swab is shedding... how do i clean this thing?

Well you can only clean it so hard before you destroy it. Try wrapping it in something and putting it in the washer.

i only ran it under watter, didnt do anything other than that lol, hmmmm thats a good idea, what about the wood though?

Really the only way to find out is to do it. I have had some crappy barrel swabs from Wal-mart and I put them in the washer, The end result was that the glue holding the cloth on evaporated or something. What I mean is that the cloth would not stay on the wood anymore.

try running boiling/steaming hot water out of the tap over it then drying with a wash cloth always works amazing for me

Put them in the swab holder in your pants then wash them my *****

Ive washed my bomb swabs so many times, just throw them in with the rest of my gear on a warm wash/cold rinse cycle. The only important thing is to hang dry them. Mine still look new after 2 years
