personally i think its a bad idea, as awesome as it would be to play 8 events in a season, most people cant get that much time off work/afford it etc.. does anyone else dislike the regional events idea and think that the nppl should have just done only the major events???

Right now im in the middle of trying to figure out if we need to use the damn virtue stat chips still, seems like they were doing away with it all.

No one has to play 8 events.

The 4 minor events will still count towards your series points, but the NPPL will take your top four event scores and use that to determine the series winner.

You only have to play 4 events - and it doesn't matter if they're major or minor.

I think it's a great idea.

Yes, I'm a fan. No one is forcing you to play in them. You can still play the 4 majors and pretend they don't exist. I understand a lot of the gripes people have with the NPPL, but this one, I don't.

now i dont know this for certain, but im assuming his gripe would be that a team could simply play 8 events as opposed to 4 and earn enough points to take the series, not necessarily play well.

but if minors are only worth 80% of the points and they do in fact take your top 4 events, then its no biggy.

Good point...I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure you can only substitute one of your minor scores for a major. Bringing this full circle, of course there isn't clear information out there so we're left to assume and rely on rumors. I wish they'd pay one of us to help this league make sense.

I don't know about "simply" playing 8 events across the country for most teams, haha, but yeah I would hope it's top 4 scores total.
