I have had absolutely no problem shooting every type of paint, no need for a soft bolt. The trigger is where I would want upgrades

Anyone had any problems with the gun running away? Ill get on the trigger and it just goes full auto. Denounce is all the way up to 10ms. I've checked the trigger screws as well. I have to hold the trigger down to get it to stop.

I did. I found that you have to have a relatively long trigger pull to stop it from happening. Think like Eclipse stock trigger pull length.

I simply changed the battery. Played all day and shot a full case without issue.

I've had the gun run away a number of times. Gotta hold the trigger down to get it to stop. I've lengenthed the trigger pull, I'll see the results this Saturday...

I've had my marker walk away from me while on ramping, but also I find that walking the trigger is difficult on Semi. Is it just me or are more people having this problem?

The marker doesn't run away from me but I cannot for the life of me walk the trigger on semi. I've set it up every which way and it doesn't help. I've concluded the shape of the trigger is no good for me =( Other than that I have no complaints about the gun.

It's a very stiff trigger pull, much like that of the Axe. It'll take some getting used to, but once you can walk that trigger, you could walk any trigger on any electro that's out now.

I put a lighter spring in. The stock one is a little ridiculous.

Yeah, I am having a difficult time walking the trigger on semi, but I adjusted the trigger and can't wait to figure out if I fix it at all. Hopefully it doesn't get away from me again. Kind of want to go to a tournament in march.

I owned one of these as my first gun getting back into paintball after 5 years and it wasn't so hot. It chopped on me a bunch. But I saw the bright side and it was super easy to get the bolt out and clean it haha. But other then the chopping problem, it wasn't bad at all. It felt really good in the hands and was fairly light!

I still see the chopping as odd as I played with some insanely brittle paint at 40 degrees (which makes it more brittle) without any issues at 12.5 bps...

Pros:
Good efficiency
Light
Comfortable
Smooth
Nice trigger
Easy maintenance
Consistent

Cons:
Trigger is bouncy if the pull is set too short
Only a 12" barrel (Although, this is personal preference)
The reg is hard to fully disassemble for cleaning.
The On/Off occasionally has some binding and grinding.

It'll work just fine. I was shooting at about 650 PSI per pod from my 48/45 in 30 degrees. I sold it before there was snow on the ground though, so I don't know how well it handles being colder than that. For a second electro, I couldn't suggest anything better. Hell, I did a 2-4-1 for mine (traded my Proton for a Star framed Etek2 and up'd Dangerous Power E1) and I plan on buying a new one again when I get the money.

I have had absolutely no chopping in mine, and I have put probably 15 cases through it. I have never had the trigger run away, if anything I have a hard time walking it like others have said. My 11 yr. old son however can walk this marker just as fast as his mini. I have been searching for a different/softer spring for the trigger but havent found anything yet.

Proton has more features, on/off Asa, tooless bolt removal but they are pretty even for performance so it boils down to what fits your hands. Mini is too small for me.

Proton easily.

Having literally used my Mini before trading it for a Proton the same day after using my Mini, I can say this. The Mini is more of an efficiency kind of performance while the Proton is more of a luxury and consistency kind of performance.
