So the autococker lightening came out a while ago as some of you are aware.
Well I did some looking and checking, and the ul and the lightening barrel are extremely similar. The only thing I can't verify is the manufacturer. I do however recall finding a website selling dyes barrels with a raw finish for about $10 a piece (in large quantities)
So is it possible they're the same thing? The shot between the two chronos the same
Are you referring to the Psycho Ballistics Lightning Autococker? If so they are not the same barrel nor are they made by the same manufacturer (to my knowledge). They do however have a quality barrel on them stock. The thing about barrels is as long as they have even honing and a decent finish, they are going to perform relatively similar. The two likely chrono the same because they have a similar control bore length and similar amounts of porting.
Don't know about the PB Lightning, but I had a Superbolt and the barrel it came with was ****. There was large patch in the back that wasn't even honed.
Yes the psychoballistics autococker. I don't believe the superbolt had a barrel as similar, but I do know the dye ul and the lightning barrel
Is almost identical all around. I wish I still had the proper tools.
The classic Dye porting is frequently "borrowed" by other manufacturers for their barrel designs. It still has one of the best compromises between sound, efficiency and consistency.
