Alternative grips for the 86 CCM frame w/ Pics!

Ok so I was looking around for different grips for my 86 CCM frame (just had the thinner inserts) because I wanted a thicker grip. I know there is Hogue grips available but they can run $30+++.

I went on amazon and purchased some rubber CZ-75 grips (around $15)

Heres what was in the box:

So the two loose items aside from the grips are for wrapping around the front and back of the grip.

But the stock screws are too short to fit, So i used a slightly longer screw.

Heres a picture of the front and rear rubber panels fit on the frame.

SO next you want to screw in one panel (this holds the rubber inserts in position) :

and you want to pull it tight so there is minimal slack with the rubber inserts

Then holding the front and back rubber inserts snug you attach the other grip pannel:

And final look:

Let me know what you guys think, and lets see some other ideas!

Looks good.

I prefer the CCM aluminum panels myself.

Not to bad looking, I still prefer me Hogues though. How do they look without the rubber bits?

Yeah I like those a lot, I couldnt find them for very cheap though.

And without the rubber it looks fine, a little bulky though.

I would have to hold it to see if I liked it better, but I like the look of the rubber grips.
