So i havent had a new gun since the dm6 was hot on the market, i forgot what the mod was called but you could wrap electrical tape around the top hat of the bolt a couple times for better air efficiency.

Question is, are there any cheap mods like this for the DM13 ?

dont think it will work on the dm12/13..... because of the spacer that has to cover the little windows cut into the body...

not much room for a top hat mod in the newer guns. these are already more efficient than the older dm's anyways.

There arent really any mods like the tophat mod, but you could send your bolt to pooty to get it polished.

The dm6 was 1.3k too. Still needed a mod.

doesnt "need" it, dm13 will be better on air then a top hatted dm6

Due to the changes in the Fuse bolt design in recent years, you'll find that a tophat mod wouldn't do much on the 12 or 13. You'll get pretty good efficiency without it.

Basically you best mod to the bolt is shooting a ton of paint through it or dry firing it and really wearing in the bolt and orings, makes it smoother and more efficient if you decide to mess with your settings.

You can also hand fit polyurethane in place of dynamic orings. They will last longer and polyurethane has a lower coefficient of friction compared to buna orings.
