So I need to do some repairs...
Alrighty, I have a 2002 Honda Odyssey LX. (Well, my DD is)
Coincidentally, I was on the freeway and there was a complete stop in traffic, so the person behind me nailed the van @ 65mph.
Fortunately, only the bumper was actually ****ed up and everything else was dandy.
My problem is: I can't find on Ebay, CL, or a local junk/chop/parts shop any Honda Odyssey Bumper (complete) assemblies for sale.
I am not buying one from the dealership as that's retarded expensive, and if anything, I just need the actual bumper and the massive plastic cover.
Have any suggestions of any larger or more specified car forums or places in the bay area (Northern California) where I could find discount or used car parts?
Also: I want to put some new headlights, taillights, and fog lights on the van. I don't want what's the "swaggiest", but just some ones that are brighter than stock, but the same color. Mine are just dimming and I want something a little saucier than OEM.
Sidenote: I also hope to do some suspension work to make it a bit stiffer so it's less sketch going over 70 on the freeway, but that's all imagination gravy.
ANYWHO, all help is greatly appreciated and yes, consider that I'm on a budget like anyone else with a modicum of sensibility, but I'm ok with paying a bit more for something that's worth it.
And yes, I'm doing research of my own, this is just to facilitate it.

Are you sure about this? What hit you, a smart car?
My minute of google found this.

You may need something like this too, maybe more I don't know.

For the headlights. Is the plastic on them faded/yellow? You could do the old polish deal, youtube has directions. If that doesn't work, ebay has cheap headlight housings usually. The bulbs themselves dim over time. The basic halogen bulb is the best for life expectancy. The silverstar type bulbs for example, are higher wattage(or something), and while brighter initially do not last nearly as long. If you're ok with replacing them more often, fine, get them.

Yeah. Took it for a complete inspection and evaluation.
The frame itself has a 7mm dent.
All glass, suspension, lowers, everything is great.
The front right half shaft was loosened a tad bit, but when I realigned the van, I took care of that.
That said, it came a bit loose again

Wish I had the receipt to show you the parts I got, but my 2003 Honda Odyssey(sold it last month) was hit in the rear in December pretty much exactly as you described yours. The hatch and bumper were replaced with non-OEM parts but looked spot on along with the tail lights. I also did a Xenon upgrade to the headlights, the whole housing. They were DEPO headlights and were quite good.

Whoever rear ended you should pay for this. If they don't have insurance, do you have uninsured motorists insurance?

So, considering the bumper replacement was like $100 over market value, insurance gave it a salvage title and gave us $7900 (not sure why, that's even more, but I'm not questioning it.)
And yeah, she had insurance.
I still need to fix the van.
and the bumper was smashed in @65, but it didn't go into the chassis.
****, even the hatch is in fantastic condition and all glass and sensors and locks are in tact.

I still don't see how that's anywhere near close to totaling the vehicle, but ok.
Best bet is go to your body shop of choice and have them order it.

Totaled might not be the appropriate term.
It's totaled by Insurance's definition. If the repair costs more than the market value of the car it's being done to, it's totaled.
Sooo... they give you more money than it's worth...
Whatever. We got a 2013 passat sel tdi for effectively $14300 because of the insurance **** and costco's deal on them.
