I'd say that's a much younger sampling than I'd expect from most fields - it certainly skews much younger than the SGMA data.
I'm sure you've mentioned it before, but what sort of game/equipment do you offer to the 6-9 year olds?

I've never seen the SGMA stats... but I know they have never contacted me.... And from stuff I see on their web page like "60% of Paintball participants also take part in bowling (2012)." I would say their info is a bit off.
And realistically, it doesn't much matter what stats are... it matters what you build, who you cater to, what clientele you want, how you present your products and services to get the demographic you are shooting for.

Stats can aid if you are wanting to follow trends. If you are setting trends, they are of much less value.

EDIT>>>>
Ok... I grabbed a stack of waivers from this weekend. Here is a sampling so you can see the break down. I'd be curious for other fields to post theirs. But as a random sampling of 200 players...
Oldest was 60, youngest was 6
Age ---------- Number
6-9 --------> 26
10-12 ------> 60
13-15 ------> 39
16-19 ------> 10
20-25 ------> 12
26-39 ------> 36
40+ --------> 17
So, other fields may have drastically different ages brackets, but that is what we have... what was your last 200??
|
That's pretty consistent with my past experience as well. Kids have parents to pay....teens and young adults are broke. 26-39 have their own money again......older than that are having kids lol.

Speedball
All I am saying is you can't go wrong with a speedball field. That's my favorite. It really doesn't matter what style NPPL PSP etc...all awesome

We had that issue at our field. Lots of milsim players and lots of speedball players.
We made a field with an urban setting (shipping containers, buildings, etc) and a speedball type field in the middle (using barrels, speedball-shaped bunkers, etc)
Think of it as a speedball field surrounded by buildings. Your speedball players will enjoy playing in the middle while the milsim players will spread in the buildings. To us, it was really a win/win situation.
