Unfortunately I have been hearing that for a long time.

For those of you who been wondering about their speedball field The grass is looking nice there really thick and they finally just put up the nets even though the bunkers n such aren't up yet. I'm very good friends with all the ref's and kathy and they said maybe about a month. Ill let y'all know the updates every time i go i cant wait for it!
and no its not field paint only even though they use the valkren graffiti imo is really good for 65 a case

For ABC, anyone here play the castle field yet? If you played, then what do you guys think? For me they were pretty good for fast paced paintball since there are many of them, the field is level, you can flank pretty good and get tricky shots through doors and windows. Regarding buying paint, the only type you could get there was Valken Graffiti, though it was less than 60$ and since it's good quality and accurate, you don't need to buy more than a case. It's also BYOP at no extra charge, 25$ all day air/entry! For speedball, their regulation sized field will be up in the spring, and it's already layed out with green turf and full netting. Anyway, back to the original question about the field layout and your thoughts.

I love that they have turf now , also it's badass that they made the netting big enough to handle a 7man sized field . Can't wait to get my Saturday ball on there

Is this still owned by the same person as in 04-06?
Tempted to take a trip out here but I stil kinda have a bad taste in my mouth from the way he acted regularly. I forget his name but a lot of negative memories come to mind. At the same time this is where I first played and i wouldnt mind seeing how the field has changed

This field will always be owned by Leo imop. I am 90% sure he would go bankrupt before he would sell it.
The good news is in the past 2 years I have only seen him at most like twice and his wife Kathy & Jay(head tech) & Reiz(head Ref) tends to run the day to day weekend operations.
The three people I have mentioned above have never done anything that might rub a customer the wrong way in the slightest bit based on my 50+ times visiting abc (mostly on saturdays, with an occasional sunday after an event when there was no practice). Leo on the other hand may yell or be a dick when you just need to say put your mask on ect.
Though Leos never done anything questionable to anyone I knew so i cant complain. Some people just may not be a fan of his no nonsense attitude, combined with less than stellar interpersonal skills. This wont affect 97.5% of customers paintball experience though.

Yeah he never did anything to customers, just the way he acted with his staff. I was young and so were a lot of the people there and it just didnt seem appropriate for an owner. Thats not going to stop me from coming out. Just wondering

heh... leo... i worked there one summer. i think it was '01. that was my first job ever, actually. that was also the first field i ever played at too. my brother used to play there a ton back in the early 2000s. leo was definitely... an interesting character. but everyone else you mentioned are great people. reese will always be awesome, and there used to be another older ref, joe, that was great too.

Is ABC still open in the winter? If so, how many people usually show up on the weekends?

The vast majority of people work during the weekdays... it is just not smart business if a field stayed open during the week and spending money on salaries and utilities for the 2 or 3 people to show up every 5th Tuesday.
However, I recently moved to north jersey and haven't been to ABC yet. I plan on playing this weekend but is your speedball up? And how's the turnout for it?

Majority of kids that work 16-21 work weekends... Majority of pb players ages are 13-20 idk what your saying one day a week would hurt business.
