Yeah, it really has to be notarized to be legal.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that that was possibly a bad idea.

i'm VERY SERIOUS about the frustration that feel, with churches/youth centers that whine on tv commercials, newspaper articles, about wanting/needing activities for their "at risk" members, but yet, cry about lawsuits too readily, when someone offers them the use of equipment, to provide some wholesome activity.

Go into politics if you want to change things.
The church does not want to talk to you. It's like you're a stalker that won't take no for an answer. Did you ever ask a girl out that said no. Well it's time to move along.
Plus I'm thinking the OP is just trolling now. No one could be that dense. Sorry if that sounds mean, but this is too ridiculous. Good for a few laughs, but I would like to see a battle of the faiths. I'll root for Buddah.

LOL not sure if you've noticed but people having been battling over faith for centuries. Doesn't tend to end well.
I also enjoy that the OP's plan assumes the rest of the churches will agree to participate.

Our county wide church softball league has several different denominations. We all tend to get along.

True, but how many people call them guns?
|
Every kid on the field under 16. Every kid not on the field under 16.
Churches, Schools, etc. try to be politically correct. They respond to every conservative idiot the calls and complains. My all time favorite was the MALL that made all the stores take down their Halloween stuff because they got a bunch of calls about supporting "devil worship".
But churches are very different. Why there are so many kinds of them. Some cling to traditions a thousand years old, others openly embrace change and being inclusive rather than exclusive.
Some feel the youth of today is going to hell - literally. Said the same thing about my generation back in the 60s & 70s that invented recreational pharmacuticals, the sexual revolution, womens liberation, war protests, activism, racial equality, etc etc. We are now your PARENTS and Grandparents and the world keeps spinning around and around. A LOT of us turned into conservatives after our wild and wonderful crazy college days. Me, I'm just an old hippie married to my flower girl.
So many churchs feel their mission is to get the youth back into church. They can't share their values with the youth if they aren't part of the church. So they aggressively promote youth programs.
My wife's little small town church was dying on the vine. It was getting harder and harder to find a seat because of all the wheelchairs and walkers stuck in the aisle. 3-4 people were always in the hospital and needed our prayers. After the plate got passed, it was lighter and lighter until they started puting in change instead of bills. They could not afford to pay the minister or keep the building maintained. They refused to realize it. Just hanging on to the past. Finally, the minister left. Had a part time minister split with another church with the same problem. The deacons died off. Finally, they decided to do something. Got a new, young minister and decided they had to have some new blood in the church or it would die. Younger familys, kids programs, that was a decade ago. Now it is ALIVE, vibrant, adding additions to the church. Other than the main chapel's bricks you wouldn't recognize it as the church I got married in 40 years ago.
Now here is a tip: When you are trying to get something from someone, it is a good idea to ask them what would make them happy about your idea. Like my wife, I stopped GUESSING what she wants and simply ASK her what she wants. It is a heck of a lot EASIER than guess wrong and pissing her off. Saves time, money, and effort.
So ask your minister and or the people that can hire and fire them what their youth mission is. What are they doing. Their goals. How they plan to reach those goals. Their budget. What are other churches doing in your community. Another pertinent question is what are their plans for that land. If it is a oversized parking lot set up for trucks hauling boats to the lake on Sunday afternoon, then your stuck. (First Baptist Church of Anderson South Carolina.) Amen! Start your engines, pass me a beer, and see who is first to the boat ramp.
With that kind of information you can rule in or out what might be possible and make your best pitch. Otherwise, you are throwing pitches in the dark.

If you are going to call someone stupid you should probably use the proper "you're".
