45, 48, 50 CI / 4500 tanks, which is lighter these days?
A few years ago the last time I was shopping for a tank, the 45/45's were always the skinnier type, and the 48 and 50's were all the round "stubby" type.
The newer stubby type was lighter weight possibly because of a more refined MFG process, but also because the round shape is a better shape structurally so less material is needed to make the shape strong.
My question is, is this still the case? IIRC the last time I picked up a 48/45 is felt noticeably lighter than my 45/45.
I just can't decide what size tank to pick up.
