Honestly try them out both. The Mini might be small in your hands but preforms pretty good. The G5 I can't tell you about it but it will preform better that all of the G series from DP. If I had to choose I would probably choose the G5 because it's gentle on paint, Has a nice trigger with a micro switch, tournament ready marker, and has a low rise clamping feedneck. But I would save up and get an FX. My FX is just incredible!!! It has every mode... even some cheater modes shhhh! Sexy OLED board. I would keep talking about it but I would go on forever. Hope this helps

Instead of buying one of those new you could buy a used high end spoolie that could potentially offer way better performance than either of those two guns... Just a thought.

Mini..........DP has a well documented history of out of the box issues.

They both are decent buys. I'd see if you could shoot them both first and pick the one you like more. If you can lube a gun there shouldn't be an issue with either. I think you get a few more features with the G5 but in the end they are gonna be about the same.

Anyone who says mini or says they hate DP are more than likely noobs. They're made Because they have to re lube a bolt. Do yourself some good and buy dangerous power

I don't quite understand why so many people hate DP I've owned 4-5 of them and loved everyone didn't really have any major issues everygun is going to have some issues sometimes.I've seen a guy come to the field week after week with a DP and shot great everytime.I've also seen guys bringing egos dms BL and have problems. Most of the time it's not the gun it's the person using it and maintaining it.Minis are good but you have to have a feel for it some people hate them and some them.I have a mini I use for speed ball and I make it tactical for woodsball both good buys go with what is more comfortable for you

I'd say DP. The ergonomics are tremendously better. I can't stand the way my mini feels. I actually switched from my mini to my mammoth of a DM4.

I have or had both at one time. The mini, is smoother too shoot and not as loud as the G5 has more kick. The G5, is not really that loud. It is quiter then the PE popit guns. The G5, is lighter then the mini and comes with the on/off relay, asa. There both about the same size, but the G5 has a reg in the front for a good handle grip. Both of mine, has never chopped paint. The only negative issue that I had with the G5, was the led light on the back of the grip to let you know if the gun is on or off is very dim. The only negative issue that I had with the mini was, it does not come with a on/off relay asa. I got a Axe on/off relay asa installed but adds another $80 dollars to the gun, which now is closer to getting a Axe. I did use the lube from the mini to lube up the G5, so I don't really know if the lube that DP gives you is still bad, (making the gun have bolt stick). I have not had a single bolt stick problems, so the issue could of been the lube from DP. They both are great guns. Which one that you buy, is in your choice. Both will perform for you. I did sell my G5. The reason is, I have 4 team parts kits for the AXE and I have 8 AXES, so the G5 had to go. I didn't want to stock up on parts for the G5. I am going to sell my Mini also. Im just going to shoot and keep the AXES.
