So I have the opportunity to get a prelude with a blown H22 (auto) for $300. My plans would be to part out the quick **** then run it across the scales. Anyone think this is a good idea, or should I shy away from it? Pics for reference.
Edit: Further talk makes the block sound like it may just have spun a bearing or something and be able to be repaired. Easy fix and easy flip if this is the case.

k20z1 does not have rbc, k20z3 does if I remember right.
Related, got a few pics today. Outside is still dirty, interior is clean though, and Fujita Intake will be here Friday.

Either way, I'd snag it for that price.

Purchased an 01 black gsr. Mint from dealer for $4500. It was owned by a mechanic at the dealer. Full options no tears in leather. Full of DC sports stuff. Came with original blades, full dc exhaust cai rear tower bar and rear lower tie bar. 177k miles.

as some of you might remember, the resonator in my titanium exhaust blew up last time I was at the track.. So after several months of putting around with the heavy ***, quite, stock exhaust, I got around to sourcing out a titanium tube that would be suitable to replace the resonator.
broken resonator after 2 day track event
replaced with TI tubing
also running a test pipe and an intake

honestly it's a little loud and raspy at times for my taste.. but WOT is intoxicating. Definitely feel some gains though
ps. getting ready for lightening and thunderbolt march 16-17 with the pca should have some vid/pics from that in the following weeks

Sounds good man. Have you thought about putting a single on? I ran a berk single on my ap1 and absolutely loved it. Shaved quite a bit of weight as well.

I think my friend has that exhaust on his 2.47l ap1 and it's crazy loud. Even louder than this. But I just prefer dual exhuast on the s2k. Even if I tried to go single exhaust for weight savings, I doubt I would be saving anything because like I said, this is titanium and it is already extremely light. I could probably pick up the main pipe with 2 fingers. lol

no it's a brian crower kit for the F series. http://realstreetperformance.com/sto...roke-2930.html
it also has a fully built head with BC goodies. We actually just discovered a pretty serious problem with the head today. A couple of the OEM roller rockers broke up and were laying in the head/ oil pan. A lobe on the intake cam is destroyed as well. Still not sure what the exact cause is.

Damn he could have saved a lot of money using a k24 crank and had 99 stroke and a stronger crank.
How do they get 2.47 liters? Not even close on stock bore or .20 over . would have to be 90 bore with a sleeved block. 97x87.5 is 2.33
Are his Brian crower cams iron or billet? They switched to all 8620 billet because their iron cores were having failures. rockers could have been a lash problem

he bought the car with these parts already installed. I'm not sure how they come out with 2.47l. How can we tell if they have iron or billet cores? I guess the rockers could have been a lash problem. I remember him saying he was adjusting them a tad tight.. Is it possible the cams could be installed opposite how they should be? the high profile lobes are bigger on the intake side but the low profile lobes are smaller. I took measurements but my friend wrote them down on his phone

you cant put the cams on the wrond side. 99% sure the cam gears wouldnt bolt up. on k series the cam gears are different bolt sizes.
the cams should be marked. either its etched into the ring on the chain side as intake or ex or the intake cam will have a strip of orange paint on it.
