Only marker purchase except the past 4 G6Rs was the 09 Impulse I just bought. Got it cause the right one come available and it shoots almost as good as the G6Rs. I said almost.

Funny you say this. I mostly attributed it to being in the Marine Corps now and not playing tournaments anymore but I have been shooting my 2010 G6R literally since its release. This is sadly probably the first marker I have held onto this long since leaving my entry level days. Part of this is cost justification for changing markers these days and the other is the fact that I really can't point out anything I would like to change over to. Perhaps a single tube design for pure ergonomic preference but with that I would have to sacrifice a good bit of air efficiency and/or weight so there really is no point. One of the things I like best about this gun is no matter what random field that I go to fills at I know that I can always shoot well over a pod pack of paint. For example, the place I am playing at now only fills on good days to 2k. It would be extremely limiting if I were to have something other than the G6R.

I shot nothing but egos for idk how long and had pretty much every year ego from 05-09 and then I got my 1st g6r and fell in love. Sold all my egos and bought a black and white Texas storm g6r that my buddy got when he played with them and I love both of them. Honestly wouldn't shoot anything else

After I got my G6r, I never thought about getting another gun. I mean I don't think that there are many new markers that can compete with it. I have 3 of Bob's guns. A Vice,Victory, and G6r. And I don't plan on getting rid of any of them . Although admittedly I prefer the Victory above the other two it's always nice to know that I always have access to another reliable marker if there's ever a problem and I don't feel like fixing it at the field.

Bought another gun? Yes. Bought a gun to be an upgrade from the protege/vice/g6r? No. There are a bunch of older markers I wanted to own back in the day that I can now afford so I continue to add to those desires. From a functional point of view there isn't a marker out there I want because it does something better than the protege/vice/g6r. I'm a bit cheap and opted for the protege instead of the macroless g6r. I couldn't justify the extra expense when I found a protege for $200.
