HELP: Buyer bought a marker but claims it is "broken"

I recently sold a perfectly working marker to a buyer who claims it is broken. I test fired the gun the day of shipping and it was perfect. The gun in question is an ICD freestyle. The buyer has no idea how the marker works and wants a refund. He claims the marker has bolt stick. I aired up the marker the day I shipped it and put a pod through it with no problem whatsoever. I even have people from the field where I used the gun the weekend before shipping that cn claim that it worked. The buyer is opening an "item not as describe" dispute through paypal. What should I do?

On another note, after hearing the buyer out as he told me about the issue the marker is having, it is clear that the regs aren't balanced and the marker is in perfect working order but the issue is coming from the regs not being sweet spotted.

Perhaps you can explain to him how to properly balance the regs and demonstrate that the marker is working as it should. Since mods were not used as a third party in this deal, we can only advise you to work it out with the buyer before resorting to feedback or other negative reactions. Please do what you can and see if you can reach a reasonable agreement.

Thank you. Yes I have explained about the regs and how temperature fluctuations and such through shipment could cause the regs to become unbalanced. When I try to explain to him step by step how to balance the regs He interrupts me angrily saying "he shouldnt have to fix a gun I sent broken and wants a full refund."

Based on experience any of you guys may have, how backed up am I as a seller through paypal? Or am I essentially screwed because the guys a moron?

That's a question for paypal. I would suggest that you refrain from making any negative comments directed toward your buyer - despite how frustrated you may be, that only aggravates the situation. If you were the buyer, you probably wouldn't want to work with a guy that calls you a moron when you could just as easily stand your ground just to spite him.

I've been there and I know how it feels. I know this may not be what you want to hear, but the best thing for you to do is to set aside your frustration and make a legitimate effort to resolve the issue with your buyer and be reasonable. You may be surprised what a little bit of respect and patience can get you. I'm not implying any guilt here - I just want to point out that open communication is usually the best way to resolve an issue peacefully.

Apparently the person you did a deal with is local to me. He contacted me and asked what to do. My recommendation is simple: trade back. Neither party is happy, so have him ship the gun back for a full refund.

I'd be happy to act as a 3rd party to make sure both sides get back what they expect. It won't even cost anything except shipping to you. If you guys can come to terms today, he can even bring me the gun while I am out playing tomorrow.

I do not want to get scammed by a return fraud again. I am afraid Im going to get back an altered, part swapped, or damaged marker. it has happened to me before. However, paypal has decided in favor of the buyer and he has sent the marker back and they are issuing him a full refund. I tried to win my case because I've been screwed by paypal and return fraud in the past. I'm sorry if this looks "shady." I have been on here several years and done countless perfect transactions and trades with no problem ever.

My issue is that you added that the product was "as is" after you sold it.

And I offered you a free way to make sure you got it back in acceptable condition and you declined.

I thank you for that. I figured I would try to win my case through paypal first and if I lost I was still in the same boat I am in now. Looking back at it it was very dull on my part to revise a thread after the fact. I shipped a working product and thought I was in the right and the buyer thought he was in the right. I tried to win my case and lost. Idk what else I can do other than receive my gun back and only hope it is in the same condition I shipped it out in. I am positive the gun works and is in the condition as described in my thread. I am more than willing to even post a vid of it working. I should not be accountable for a user not researching a marker and/or not reading the owners manual. In the end, I am receiving my hopefully still perfect marker and the customer is getting their money back.
