update:

well guys i got the oring monkey kit and replaced every oring (bolt and manifold) to size. i aired it up and the leak persisted. i then proceeded to take out the inserts and regrease them and put them back in. it sealed up, but only for a shot or two then it would start to slowly leak again. i messed with the depth of both inserts and eventually got it to seal completely. after dryfiring it a bit i ran some paint through it (half a pod) and it began to dump air again. any thoughts?

Its in your bolt kit for sure then. Since you have an oring monkey kit I'll almost guarantee your bag of 016 sail orings are mislabeled and are actually 015. Go through your kit and find the next suze up and try that.
