So looking to upgrade my barrel and wondering advantages/disadvantages between a 12/14/16in barrel. Any advice on when I might use each is greatly appreciated!

It's all preference. None is inherently better, but 14 seems the most popular.

There are things that are far more important then lenght.

things such as bore size and porting.

Longer will allow you to push an airball bunker a little better.
Shorter will allow you to tuck in a little better.

Other than that, like shifty said, very little to nothing assuming you're talking about the same barrels but different lengths.

I say go for the 14. That's the most common in speedball
I've seen in woodsball 18 inch apex 2 I felt I was pewny with my 10 inch I had my a5 back than lol

14 is most common for speedball. But it's personal preference.
