Im getting an ego 11 wit a dart kit already. Im pretty new to electronic markers. I have a dm8 right now which has been giving me problems so that s why while im takein time to figure out and tune my dm8 ill have an ego i can use for the winter time here in NY/Nj area.
one thing id like to know what would be the best lube or oil to use and what are some do's and don'ts with an ego11.

Many people like to use spools in the winter cause they're softer on the more fragile cold paint. But hey to each his/her own.
For the Ego, put paint through it. It'll only make it smoother and break it in.
Do's/donts: use OIL on the rammer. None on the bolt. Use grease on the regulators. What eclipse provides will do. I always run stock settings and noid on 1/7 for smoothness. Pretty much it. Have fun.

Not for the Ego11. Oil itself attracts dirt into the breach causing more friction. It doesn't protect the bolt. If you use any oil it should be on the detent slots of the bolt to protect THE DETENTS from premature wear and breakage.
Page 53 in the manual if you even actually read it or are just going off your knowledge of your 09 Ego. If you're putting oil all over your bolt for your 09 you probably don't notice the wear on your bolt or just haven't maintained it enough.
It's been said in many threads before that oil on the bolt overall is bad. One drop on the detent slots is all you need if anything.

I would not. I personally as well have witnessed increased bolt wear and breach wear from using oil on my bolt for my older Ego's. The manual says for the detent slots. That's up to you, but I never oil it.
There is one exception and that's if you use a Pooty modded bolt or a TECHT Hush/Kush bolt. Those bolts have sealing orings which require so oil.
If you're using stock, no oil is your best bet.

That, is an even worse idea. Whoever told you to use grease on the bolt does NOT know what they're talking about. Read your manual, that is the best way to go, and I'm 99% sure none of the Eclipse Ego manuals tells you to use grease/lube on the bolt.

just to clear this up
NO grease on the bolt
a small dot of oil where the detents run is all that is needed, one on each side
if you have a bolt with sealing orings then they will also need a drop of oil
there is no need to lube the front double orings on cure bolts.

You should be able to google dart kit instructions......but you need to oil the O rings lightly. I have dart kit and had trouble with frt o rings coming off during play and it was because I was not using oil on orings....do a search. I am pretty sure you will find the answer .

For the maintenance Eclipse has the best manuals around, stick to them and your gun is bound to shoot great.
Dark kit is easy after it is installed and just follow the reg adjustments mentioned in this forum and you will be good to go.
Good Luck!
