You have to heat the threads of the feedneck with a heat gun. Then wrap a strapwrench around it and twist.

I am afraid if I try to pry it off that way it will break the ears I have tried to heat it but I am unsure of how hot to get it if I get it too hot it will melt my strap wrench.

doesn't need to be too hot, just enough to soften the thread compound and turn with a strap wrench (don't heat it with the strap on it). I would keep the collar on when doing it.

I never took it off I stripped the gun with the feedneck on hence the bare aluminum but it is sealed so it will not except dye I can't strip it to anodize it without it being off or I may accidentally strip the body slightly and that would be tacky so I need it to come off heating it hasn't gotten it off yet I am just going to keep trying.

the silver part screws off, take the set screws out, they didn't put thread sealant on them sometimes, but there is an o-ring.

yea, the piece that the collar goes over comes off. held in by the set screws and a fat o-ring. ive read they annodized the other part of the feedneck while its already pressed in.

boiling? Yea I haven't done that yet... I was trying to remove the feedneck and the entire press-fit part twisted. Panicked a bit, broke a strap wrench... managed to get it back to centred with another one, but that feedneck is staying on. (****ing twistlocks...)
Also managed to put a couple marks in the anno with my second strapwrench.
****. but yea, disassembling now.
