Species Project

Just started on a project this year after I picked up a Species body in very good condition as part of a trade. I've already picked up a few more parts here and there including a MAC noid, Alias frame, and Ive dug through the old parts box to see what I could come up with. I managed to find an old SMC solenoid that I plan on taking the connector off of to use with the factory fresh MAC noid. The body was already tapped and has the blast hole mod as well.

What I have so far:
-Near mint Species body (with plug)
-Alias Frame
-Brand new MAC noid

What I need/plan on picking up:
-Either an Infamous or Yakuza board
-Push-connect microline fittings
-Ramsleeve
-Eigenram
-Poppit/cupseal/spring
-Alias front block
-LPR, Maybe a vollly
-Species trigger guard
-Species, Techna, Acid Customs, or maybe a critical tigger
-360, CP, or 2 liter reg
-Eyes
-Wiring harness
-FBM or CCM feedneck

Ill post pics up soon, and periodically throughout the build.

"Factory MAC noid?" I don't believe Bob put MAC solenoids in any of his guns.

Why not just use the standard Alias style Humphrey's noid? It's not like the MAC noid really gains you anything. I'm not knocking the choice, I'm just curious. I mean, I have Vikings/Excals with MAC noids...and they work well, I'm just wondering why here.

By "factory Mac noid", I meant that I've received it in its original packaging from the factory, an the wires are still uncut with no connector attached. I picked up 3 noids for $10 a piece and in my experience Mac noids are very well built so I thought I'd give one a shot.

Thanks saw the deal and I couldn't pass it up. It's looking pretty tough to find a species trigger guard and LPR these days.

Thanks for the link, last time I checked Cheech still has a trigger. I've had no luck with finding a trigger guard though.

I need to hit them up then. I cant even find an FBM feedneck now, then again I'd feel bad for grinding down the milling to fit it on the body.

Hey thanks man, goodluck to you too. That feedneck idea looks pretty good if I don't end up finding a ccm or fmb.

Finally added a few parts. Looks like I'm going to roll with a stock twist lock feedneck. Also picked up a function trigger that will do for now, as well as a frenzy cheater board. I'm working on the noid now to attach the connector.

MAC noids draw more power than the stock humphries. I believe you need an aftermarket board such as a tadao or virtue to handle the larger power draw.

You may want to hit up BLAST and see if they have cocker or 2K2/Alias threaded clamping feednecks for sale.

I figured, I may just pick up an infamous board. I just snagged the cheater board in a bulk buy.
