Im wondering the same thing. I shot a V1 Victory this weekend and it shot really well too! And it was lighter than the geo 2.1 that I also shot!

Bob Long G6R or Victory will be much smoother and quieter, more efficient, and macroless compared to the Ego 11.

DM12 (or any other year DM, they all shoot nearly identical, just different weight and ergonomics) will be smoother than the Geo 2/2.1 but the Macdev Clone VX and GT will shoot smoother and quieter and be more efficient. Also the B wing bolt doesnt really do anything that a break in period wont.

Would a ego 11 with a dart kit shoot smoother and quieter than a g6r or victory?

No. There is also the LP poppet for the G6R as well for much cheaper than the DART which makes it even more smooth and quiet. Much more so than the Ego. The Victory is an inline poppet, so its sort of a hybrid between a spool an poppet and has advantages of both.

Out of the three you listed? Id pick up a DM (more likely an 11 due to price) but why is it neccesary to limit to these? Sponsorship?

Or I might have misunderstood you, I would take a G6R because I prefer stacked tube poppets but if you like spoolies Clone GT all the way. Victory falls somewhere in between and theres a spool valve bolt system coming out for the Vic soon too.

Many would think so. The Ego and Geo's standout feature is their lack of a need for maintenance and while they do have nice boards and triggers the shot quality leaves something to be desired. The DM has been the same markers for years with a different gripframe (which is excellent however).

Be aware that with the Bob Long guns you need a pressure tester but it literally is as simple as attaching the tester, setting to the factory reccommended pressures and then playing paintball.

For the Clone VX and GT the bolt has several parts but the manual tells where to put grease and Ive way more people have trouble maintaining Luxes and DMs than Clones. While its a complicated bolt, its still pretty dependable even if you dont know the exac amount of lube to apply.

It depends on what you're going for...

The G6R is IMO the best stacked tube poppet on the market. It can be complimented with a LP poppet and the new(ish) premium bolt.

The clone is the best spool IMO. Smooth, quiet, and efficient. Just a really solid marker.

The Vic has totally changed the game. With the stock/ sc'd engine you get the efficiency of most stacked poppets with a nice enclosed bolt system that's smoothness rivals many spools. The bomb Bob Long just dropped is the new spool engine. In my mind this makes the vic an almost perfect gun. (Except my personal preferences for feel would probably mean I'd keep running the poppet engine.)

Yeah. Insiders say that he is still tweaking it and efficiency numbers will likely go up for the final production release. You can also get a vic3 that comes with both engines for $1250.
