Hey guys yes i know i should of posted in the jeep thread but i need a quick answer if anyone has it the jeep wont start ive checked alot battery been replaced, changed the computer coil distributor crank sensor and few other sensors and still no spark car so if anyone has any answer please reply thanks
Turn the ignition on, listen or have a friend listen near the fuel tank, if you hear a whir it's at least pumping. Might have some other issue with it but that's usually not the fuel pump if you hear it running.
Otherwise, if you don't hear it try whacking a baseball bat against the tank while your try to start the car, if it starts up only when you do it, it's definitely the fuel pump.
It's not the best job without a full lift, so I'd make sure before you take anything else off this POS. Also, when you say "still no spark" do you mean at the spark plugs or what I think you mean that it's not starting up?
fuel pump on a zj isnt anywhere near as bad as ppl make it out to be without a lift. if it does turn out to be your fuel pump, make sure the clips are on the float correctly or youll be doing the job over again because your gauge will always read E.
what engine? i have a '96 5.2L. ive owned it about 100k miles so im pretty familiar with them.
