does any one know how i could attach a q-loader to a tipx mag like this (sorta making it into a stock)

Sweet idea man, I wonder if you could drill and tap it for a clamping feedneck in the bottom of the mag. You could use 2 screw holes, like for a spyder, threads like an invert mini, or the ego attachment thingy. I'm sure it's do-able.

It's definitely possible, but you would have to ruin the mag to do it. You might even need to modify the grip as well to get a tube to fit properly. It wouldn't look very pretty either. I think you would be either double feeding or misfiring quite a bit too. And you would lose the ability to use 12 grams.

i have seen other mounts on the tipx that feed properly and you can still use 12 grams through the front

You'll have to mod the Q-loader feeding part and the mag, but it can happen.

Yep, sorry, my bad. I was thinking about the tiberius mags. 12 grams should still work.

I think he's on the right track. cut out the bottom of the magazine and attach a regular clamping feedneck (upside down of course). I would recommend a threaded one.

You would just need to clamp it in, but I think there needs to be a little peice in it to activate the qloader when you put it in. I'm not exactly sure how it does this, so hopefully someone else does.

i think the cap part does

and would the feed neck clamp onto the part from the q-loader?

You're absolutely right, never mind about the activation thing. And yes, you can just clamp it straight on to the cap's feed tube. You'll also be able to change it from facing forwards to backwards, like a tank, very easily. If you got the remote line attachment, it would be a beast.

i think i will try this. but i will need to find a huge clamping feed neck because the part sticking out is pretty fat.

any suggestions on what type?

I have no idea ehat type would work, I would just get a cheap one that is made to fit a well known marker, so you could get another one that fits your modified mag if you need to. And that would work great, as long as you can attach it.

i measured the q-loader part and it is 3.5 cm wide i have no idea what feed neck is that size

it is probably more likely to fit the clamping feedneck inside the q-loader.


so i need some new ideas which could make the q-loader attach to the mag

Wow, that's enormous. Maybe you could sand it down or something? Are you willing to modify the cap at all? You could also stick a stovepipe style feedneck inside it, then add some screws facing inward on the qloader part to attach it to the feedneck.

im heading to home depot this weekend to look at possible replacements for a feedneck

If you get a spyder feedneck, I would use the versions that have holes to hold it on rather than the tabs. That way it would be easier to attach straight to the bottom of the mag rather than having to recess the tabs into the bottom of themag.

If you can find somesort of nut that would fit a threaded feedneck, you can just pick up a really short clamping feedneck. Drill a hole just large enough through the bottom of the mag, take out the follower and spring, push the feedneck into the hole and tighten down the nut from the inside. The only issue would be reassembly. I don't know exactly how everything goes together on a TPX mag so you could just gorilla glue the nut down and just screw the feedneck into it.

If you can't find a nut or a tap large enough (big taps can be expensive), you can just drill the hole slightly smaller than the threads of the feedneck and self-tap the threads with the feedneck. I would then use some sort of glue to help support the feedneck to the mag body.

Here is another option, get a feedneck that isn't threaded but tightens at both ends like an ego-style feedneck or just one of those old school plastic feednecks. All you would have to do is get a brass pipe that would fit snug in a hole that would be drilled in the bottom of the mag. Attach the feedneck to this piece of pipe and remove the mag internals.

1 problem, the q-loader neck is 3.5 centimeters in diameter and no feed necks fit that
