Where is this from

"You gas up the marker, load up the hopper, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field. It doesn't matter that you failed that test friday, that your girlfriend broke up with you last night, or that you got a ticket on the way there. Your world is right for the next 3 minutes, THIS is your heaven on earth...live it...love it...Paintball, it's a way of life."
What YouTube video has this quote?

I think it was from one of Derder's or MWAG's vids. I want to say it was an XSV player, maybe Thomas Taylor or Matty Marshall.

Sounds like Matty, but I know there's another, longer quote that's definitely him out there.

Half the signatures on this site have that quote.

The only thing more common and more lame is the: "98% of paintballers [insert activity nobody does here], if you're part of the 2% that doesn't, put this in your sig."

Take your pick, like I said, it is one of the most common quotes in paintball, and it is so old it most likely was most likely written in an APG magazine.

LOL the only one that's worse is "If you're under 18 and pay for your own gear, put this in your sig!", as if anyone gives a ****. Congratulations, you got yourself a job.... Oh right, your "job" is doing chores around the house and letting mommy & daddy give you their money to go buy your gear.

It happens on a random Monday, coming back from an event or late on a Sunday night, right before you get on the plane and are about to be frisked for the third time. You're driving, you're flying, you're sitting in an airport seat with boys from the team. You're drinking stale coffee trying to stay awake. You're explaning the fat welt on the side of your neck to a confused stranger or a best friend. You're coming back to the other life...The one without paintball where noone understands why you do it. You're tired, you're working off little sleep. The question creeps up, and you try to ignore it. "Why do I do this?" Why the travel, the losses, the missed work, missed school, hours of practice, and the complaining girlfriend, because the lore of living a paintball life is just to potent, and the products of the road, the travel are memories forever in trips in strange lands with stranger people. In tournaments it feels like for once, you actually get to live as loud as you want...It's worth the sacrifices. It's worth all the bullsh*t, because if you work hard enough, a Sunday will roll around and you'll be in the huddle...screaming...with your hand in 1 among 10. Playing for the world title, and suddenly, all those clichés you've ever heard make sense.......and you are defined. You say it to yourself, and it means everything. "I am a paintball player, and this moment right here, is my life."

yeah the latter of the quotes is much more poetic
with clear signs of emotion and inteligence.

Not sure who said the first one.. but it starts off heartfelt.
Then rides the rails into melted velveeta with how cheezy
it finishes. sounding like it comes from angsty teens that havent
exacty pass english yet.
