League of cleavers died long ago. Price increase on ad caster items and nerfs to bruta and clever killed it. The new health stacking meta made the penetration nearly worthless. Also nerfs to some of the more ridiculous clever users like talon and riven (kha still OP).
It's all about rushing warmogs on champs with high base damages. I've been winning with bruiser nid a lot lately rushing warmogs then grabbing iceborn guantlet (then situational but sunifre is always good on nid).

I meant whats more annoying; having people shred your armor instantly and doing crazy damage, or buying 1 item and bring absurdly tanky to all champs.

As a top lanner league of warmogs is boring as ****. Once you hit the ten minute mark no one dies, even with jungle ganks. It's just a farm fest. Top lane nowadays: start mass pots and wards and farm for warmogs then farm for more items, never die and never get kills.

I kinda like the mass-pot starts. Makes champions with no sustain more viable. Season 2 top lane was full of champs like Irelia and Yorick and/or you had to use regen quints to help stay in lane. Now with everyone starting pots, a champion with good all-in kill potential is a better pick.

The only thing I enjoy about the current meta is team fights are more drawn out so they take a lot more skill to win, instead of just randomly running at eachother and everyone gets exploded by the ADC.
I don't like the red pot+wards+hp starts just because the only point of trading is to burn the pots, which wil be burnt at the same rate, jungler comes, tower dives, red pot flash and survive every time. Sure it makes more champions viable, but wasn't that the point of crystalline flask?

Does anyone buy flask? I've seen a lot of people starting it but it seem like a horrible item compared to starting with a defensive item or more pots+wars.

Not a good idea in solo queue. In high elo and competitive play tops and mids might start flask but they will have their supports ward for them lvl 1. Also it's common to see faire charm or rejuv beads plus 6 pots and one ward.

flask is common for mid because you can play mid safely with no wards. No point in buying flask bot lane or jungle, and top needs the ward coverage.

i would agree with the mid laner getting it only, maybe if you want to run like urgot bot lane or something, other then that i cant think of why it would be a good first buy right now. even getting like 3 mana pots and 6 hp pots, its still pretty much more efficient since your first back will probably be giants belt and you wont die

I used to main top lane pretty much every game. I still do well there but it has gotten boring. you just both get wards and pots constantly so ganks cant even happen and if they do no one dies. It is turning into only farming for lategame.

also just bought trundle as well as singed to dick around with pretty excited

i think trundle is really underrated as a champion. he is extremely snowbally, and even if he doesnt do well in lane he can still bring someone else down with him in a teamfight with q (?) and ulti

I'd assume it's a high item dependent thing like Shaco. You get ahead, and you can abuse it, you fall behind, and you can only be a nousiense. I don't know trundle that well, that's just what ive experienced.

I actually think he doesn't scale well at all. He's not at all like riven where if you get early kills and early attack damage you just wreck people. He's more like bruiser nid, doesn't scale too well off of items so you just build tanky and rely on good sustained base damages throughout trades and team fights.
