clarkson had me in stitches, when he went to "put gas" in hammonds viper. Also the musical road part, with jezza driving backwards was great.

First episode was pretty good, that p 45 was a pretty funny segment.
The American version pisses me off, they only do specials, not actual reviews on cars.

American TV caters to advertisers that need to be pleased with what they are being shown with. Top Gear is publicly funded, so unless the government gets pissed off (see: the mexican food scandal) they can pretty much do whatever they want. Ever noticed how your downloaded/streamed Top Gear eipsodes flow completely together and don't seem to have any space for ads? That's because there aren't any.

apparently,Top Gear is the only BBC show that makes so much money off it's world-wide sales rights/spin-offs,that no money is actually budgeted from the UK TV license fee payers to fund each episode.
