Ion leaking need help
I just completely overhauled my ion. New superfly bolt, shocktech body, ndz firing chamber and breech. Now when I air it up it leaks out the back of the body and out of the feed neck. The leak is so bad that it emptied out my 62cu full tank in about 5 sec. Any idea what it is? It didn't leak until I put the upgrades on it

I was thinking possibly the reg because I did put a system x reg on it a while back and havent air'd it up since I put it on. I dont know anything about these regs the bottom screw is as tight as it can screw and the top screw is backed all the way out. That is how it came to me. Which screw would need to be adjusted.

Refer to the System X NME manual for adjustment & service info for your reg http://paintballgunmanuals.com/manua...NME-Manual.pdf. Be careful, the system x reg is capable of pressures exceeding 200 psi, and i'm not sure what the minimum pressure is on those things. The NME manual states that about 3 threads in, the reg is at about 220 psi, which is already too much for the Ion. It needs 180-190 psi, while not exceeding 200 psi.
I'd suggest getting a different reg, or putting the stock reg back on. That's problem #1.
Problem #2, the o-rings on the supafly may not be sealing properly. Check em, relube em, try again. Still leaks? See if the stock bolt o-rings will fit on the supafly, and try that. Still leaks? Need thicker o-rings. Part of the problem with some aftermarket bolts - trying to match tolerances with other aftermarket internals.

I'd recommend that over the system x reg, yes.

If the bolt fires forward when you air it up and the air just comes out from there, the bolt sail oring might be too small causing the air to build up behind it to make it shoot forward but cause the oring might be too small there isn't enough seal to suck the bolt back into place. I just tried changing my stock breech to a blue warrior breech and that's what happened. Switched back to my stock breech and the leak was gone.

its not bolt stick its simple leaks its 98% that body kit my shocktech leaked like a fiend i blue locktited the barb on and then put in a thicker oring into the backcap with a healthy amount of dow 33 and the gun is completely sealed

I just got a hyper 2 reg today when I get off work I'm going to change them and relube my ORings and see if that helps before I adjust the body kit.

Update on problem: I put the new reg on it and relubed it and the leak became 100% less then it was you can hear it but hardly but when I shoot it the bolt dosen't move at all. However I did find that I am missing an ORing in my New Designz breech and firing chamber. Would that be the reason for the constant leak I am having right now? The ORing that is missing would help seal the back cap of my shocktech body and that is were the leak is.

Alot of the aftermarket breeches have trouble sealing right, try your oring from your stock breech or replace the NDZ one with the stock one

The ORing is missing on the firing can not the breech I'm sorry for the misinformation. It is right in the back of the firing chamber were it enters the back cap of shocktech bodykit (were it is leaking). and the firing can is leaking the air out the back to were the bolt will not fire
