The adapter makes bore matching a moot point, but it still shouldn't make that huge a difference. Dwell is good.

yeah all the settings make sense and seem like it should be shooting well and quiet, but it isn't i don't know what it is, maybe the cold, i don't know. when i tore it down i didn't strip the ram apart and re-lube it, so i may have to go back and do that and it will help, but it's definitely confusing me right now.

The ram isn't user serviceable, so there isn't really anything you can do with it to help. What kind of FPS range are you shooting? If it's hot your HPR might be too high.

it's shooting at 290, but the HPR screw is nearly flush with the reg housing.

With the gun de-gassed, try turning the adjustment screw all the way out, then screw it all the way in, counting the number of complete turns it takes. Then back it out exactly halfway. That's about the range it should normally be in. With the HPR adjusted to that level, check the LPR pressure (the LPR pressure fluctuates with the input pressure from the HPR, so it will likely be lower). Bring it up to 60-65 psi if needed and see where you're chronoing. If your pressures are currently not well balanced, that might explain the issue you're having.

alright i set the reg halfway out from flush (5 turns) and the LPR is at 60 psi.
i just chronoed it, it was shooting 325 at those settings ^ dropped the HPR about 2-3 turns and it was shooting nice and smooth and fairly quiet, especially compared to before at 290. perfect. thank you for all the help doc

i definitely will enjoy it alot more now, it's by no means a spool, but it's definitely shooting much better i'm sure it won't stick out in the sound level on the field.
