Kick it off with an unanswered appraisal from the old thread:

I have an interesting one.. I've got an ion w/l7, and virtue board, along with a full 18" and 14" freak barrel, but the body kits I have are the special ops longbow w/4 mags and full qbow setup for it also. Any ideas on that? IF I am to sell it I don't know where to start.

Shoot for $250ish if you're gonna sell. But that's a pretty narrow market with the longbow/qbow setup. The average joe would probably offer $200 at most.

its the frame off a smart parts epihany and it feels alot lighter to me but to each their own

some aftermarket bodies like the one pictured takes a little modding the back to fit it but i went back to the stock body and donught and it bolts right up and i even found some screws with a ressessed head since the epihany frame has larger screw holes so now my frame screws are out of site , pm me with any questions you have and ill try to send you pics of it on my stock body so you can see how it looks

Hey PBN crew! I've been away for a few years and am getting ready to move. I found something that I forgot I had.


We had a Lucky sponsorship way back and Aaron was nice enough to send me this. I do not know what parts are what. I started shooting Eclipse and ended my career with them as a sponsor.

Anyways, this is what I have. I believe it's a 5.1 tactical body. Not sure how many they made.

I would love to know what parts this has and what she might be worth. I'll take it apart so you guys can see the internals and board. I appreciate your help!

Very cool Ion you have there,never heard of a that tactical body,almost looks like a 5.1 with bolt on rails,appears to have a early Lucky board inside seeing as it has a seperate noid,triggerframe and feedneck appear to be Lucky also.Lucky stuff seems to be hit or miss,boards are awesome but fragile.noticed the on\off for gun is in the rear curved part of the frame!?
Really not sure of value,if it were mine Id ask $250obo,really high for an Ion but its very unique,someone out there is looking for a complete Lucky Ion.
Pmed you a guy who would know more
If youre a gunwhore like myself Id keep it,potential increase in value like some older uncommon Mags and Cockers,Lucky stuff seems to get parted out often,I havent seen a whole one for sale in awhile

The idea was to make a tactical Ion for our Scenario Team. I actually sent Aaron the rails and I believe Brett came up with the design. I have some of the original CAD drawings here somewhere.

The on/off is from NDZ. The feed neck I think was from Lucky. The reg looks like a CP, but is also from Lucky. The rest I just can't remember! I'm getting old I guess.

The frame and board look great, as does the trigger. I do remember shooting it and it ran amazing! I don't even have a tank anymore to try it. I lost the two rear screws that hold the rails on. They are small as to not touch the rear cap.

Found the drawings! Looks like Brett used the Element frame in the mock up.

It's a savant/hero framed milsim body.

I used to sell the remaining bodies.

Last hero frame Isold went for $100. took FOREVER to sell Last milsim body was $60. (New). I would say $200.

Thats a beauty,probably about the same as the gun above for the gun itself
70/45 IMHO are probably a little more valubale than standard 45s,around $100+/- in hydro,I LOVE Pulses(discontinued) but they only sell for around $50 or less for a nice one,I use them in my boxmag projectsclear shell is uncommon in good shape,is it RF synced to gun?SS Freak may add some value too
Unforunately Ion resale sucks,keep it for a backup or trade it,parting it out will make you more $.$400 for the package would be my estimate,if your willing to deal with foolies on Craiglist or Ebay maybe more

Thanks for the reply; that's ballpark what I would have guessed.

The Pulse shell is cracked on one side of the control board cover, but other than that, no issues... and yes, it's RF'ed to the TBoard.

I'm going to see how often I can get out to play, and just have fun with it. It looks like I may run into problems if I need parts, though... hardly anyone has Ion parts in stock anymore.

YW,you can still get alot here or other forums,Smartparts is pretty much GoG now,some stuff you can still get from them,I hoarderd a ton of Ion stuff when I heard SP was going out of buisiness in a panic,starting to sell off bits and pieces I dont use
When im looking for something I dont have and want I get alot of my stuff from DW above
