I think people who say the Ego11 is loud are people who own both the Geo and the Ego, because compared to the Geo it is loud. I would say other than the feel of the marker in hand, the three big differences are efficiency, noise level, and smoothness. I feel if the efficiency were not a question, there would not be a disscussion like this. However the Ego13 could change all that as most new release Ego's are game changers.

In my opinion, the Geo 3 is more comfortable in the hands, but some would disagree. I personally like the Geo's more because of how they feel and how they shoot. Out of the box there is barely any kick and shoots ropes all day long. But it's up to you.

I own Both the Ego11 and Geo3 and i play with them both just depends on what mood im in or what type of play im playing but i love both markers and only reason i said the ego was loud is because it is a poppit and not every persons is tuned to perfection to make it quiet

I like both, but I shoot an Ego for the added efficiency and I know I can pull it out of my gear bag all season long and count on it to work. Ego's are just super reliable.
It may kick slightly more, but this does NOT effect accuracy or anything.

To the OP.
Choices with high ends are all personal preference, so shoot both and decide what your tastes are. I had an Ego11 but I have a Geo 3 now, but in truth I would be 100% fine with either as both are top notch kit.
Just enjoy what you shoot.

As others have said, just hold each one with YOUR tank mated to it if you can and get a feel for it. Try to find someone w/ both setups that will let you shoot a hopper, maybe even use it for a game.
I USED to HATE ego's just because I didnt care for their looks. I never even considered an ego when looking for a high end. Until I held and shot one.... I traded my geo 2.1 on the spot for one( ego 11). Then I traded my luxe 2.0 for a CSL...
I'm one of those people that dont care how loud something is though and I've actually come to find, I like a little feedback from my marker. I can say though, I messed w/ the solenoid settings for the first time a few days ago and I'm def not giving up either of my ego's unless its for the newest version (13).

also it depends from your role in your team. IMO you cant be a base player and shoot a GEO, or be a snake ans shoot an EGO

Not true, the Geo3 has good enough efficiency to use for back unless you're shooting 11 pods a game and I have used my 06 Dark in the snake and Dorito just fine and its way louder then the 11.

Of course that's your opinion, but there are plenty pro teams with back players using Geo3's, and front players using Ego11's.
And honestly the efficiency differences are nothing crazy apart. They're probably about 2 pods difference.

You can always use a bigger tank if efficiency is an issue.. Odds are if it is an issue, you're typically playing a 'back' position, so you're not gonna be diving and crawling a majority of the time.
With that being said, i <3 my ego. Makes me feel like a true American.

Owned both a good while.
Personally, the GEO 3 just feels and shoots better. It's so simple. Just a tube, barrel and paint. Don't get me wrong, the Ego is beyond amazing as well but, in a choice between the two, it's always the Geo 3. Ego 11 is immediately following.

I hope so I have used one and like it I am hoping to get mine in the spring. Kind of stalling to see new Ego. I was playing indoors yesterday with my 2.1 and the efficiency was so poor I switched to my ego11 the efficiency was so much better but it was so loud it sounded like a canon. So then switched back to the Geo. wish I could take best attributes of both and put them together. Though I think the 3 is close to that I am hoping the new Ego is that much more.
