it'll be like officers and getting a masters. One guy says you need it and then the next ****er that replaces him says you don't need it. It's a never ending cycle...

Taking the discussion back to shaving, I shaved with the slant after work and my face has never felt smoother. For those who shave with a safety razor and haven't tried a slant, I highly recommend it. I would even say its a better shave than I've gotten professionally with a straight.

My gear should hopefully be here tomorrow. It's been sitting at the Wichita Falls post office all day for whatever reason.

My razor came in Friday but by the time I was able to get to my mailbox the post office was closed and the counter for packages for dorm residents is closed weekends so I couldn't get it til lunch today.

DE should be here today.
I also found a note last night. It said "No hot water for you again, Sincerely Your Dorm". It's a regular thing now.

So I have an airman who got an art 15. She lost a stripe and was told she would get it back after she did a list of things the cc said. She did all those and he kept pushing the date back until it finally ended up being like a year later. She really has turned it around 180 degrees. She deserves it back. She will pin A1C on and then have to wait 20 months tig for sra. Is she not eligible to pin on sra even if she meets the 36 months tis minimum to pin on sra? Does that go away with a loss of rank?

I'm not sure what the rules are, and honestly I'd push it up the CoC. Here is how AFI 36-2502 reads specifically.
"2.2. SrA Promotions (see Table 1. 3).
2.2.1. Airmen (fully qualified) are promoted to SrA upon meeting minimum requirements in Table 2.1, when recommended by the promotion authority in writing, and have completed 36 months TIS and 20 months TIG or 28 months TIG (whichever occurs first). (Exception: CCT and PJ six year enlistees are to be promoted to SrA upon reaching 28 months TIG or 36 months TIS and 20 months TIG (whichever occurs first), provided they have obtained a 3- skill level and are recommended by their Unit Commander. These individuals are eligible for SrA BTZ, which allows them to be considered with their peers and promoted under the same Air Force policy.)"
To me that reads must have TIS AND TIG.

Ah yeah. That is it. Thanks. I was pulling from memory and thought it was only 36 months TIS. Oh well.
I hope beating that chick up was worth it. Haha.

I use AOS cream. What works best for me is wet brush with hot water, shake it out. Preload the cream onto the brush and start whipping up a lather. At this point it's very pasty and too dry for the face then I slowly add hot water until I have the right consistency. For the angle of the razor, I learned by putting the handle parallel with the floor and then rotating it down until I feel the blade contact my face. Also, don't add any pressure when shaving. Let the weight of the head do the cutting. My passes are with the grain, relather, across the grain, relather, and the against the grain. Followed by spot touch ups.
Are you using a cream/paste or a solid bar/puck type lather?

Line numbers still suck. All the responsibility none of the money. Finished my feedback for my troop, I can't give it to her though because I haven't gone through ALS.
ALS date got pushed back because someone inprocessed the squadron with a lower line number.
Now running mid shift. Yay.

I worked days for 2.5 years. Then I got here and for the first time I was on swings. I was supposed to run swings this week but they moved me to mids this morning. I found out at 8am via text message.
