well got my convertible put back together today. i really havnt touched it since 2011. but this last week ive been getting it from project car torn apart in the garage to a running and driving car. been interesting but fun at the same time.
installed a new lower dash i restored a year ago and a newly restored guage cluster. along with the grill install. the sides of the grill are actually supposed to be moving doors that go up and down but i didnt have that much time today.

and heres a better one of my Talladega Racecar project thats sitting behind it. (im adding a Talladega nose onto it later this next summer)
it has alot of suspension and motor work, some interior but not much and ive basically left the body alone since i plan on roughing it up a bit this next season.

it did and i hate all these vac systems, but electronic were definitely not the strong suite of car manufacturers in the 60s and 70s. so most movements like the headlights are operated off of vacuum. horrible idea, once u get a big cam good luck with anything working haha. i was going to convert these over to electronic but i figured i dont have a big cam in this car (a 290 duration 540 lift) with a medium lope so i will hope and pray i dont have to build a custom setup with an electric linear actuator.

So when I see stuff like this Vent, it really makes me wish I would have went to some kind of tech school instead of a University. I've always wanted to be able to work on cars, but it's like a forign language.

I think if I ever got a 68 Camaro RS I'd have to change it as well, but then again I'm one of the few guys who wants a 68 Camaro rs with a 327 and a 4 speed. I just like the fact that the 327 isn't as common as the 350's or 396. Seems everyone with a Camaro goes those routes.
Spyder, my dad was a mechanic for many years and raced so I learned a little from him. I'm lost on the newer cars, but the older stuff I enjoyed. My first car was a 1968 Firebird 400.
