Approximately. The bolt still needs some work and my orings are not as fitted as they should be. My bolt is still sludging. But seeing as how it can only improve, I like the results. Its better than anything my sprung HE was doing so it is a definite improvement.
Next week is the tournament, after that I'll be doing a full 10-12 pod efficiency test. Full tank-empty.
Provided we have paint left over.

i'm new to the forum, also. not new to paintball or smartparts by any means. been playing on and off since '03. always dreamed of getting a shocker when i was younger but i could never afford one. now that i'm grown up and have a big-boy job i decided to get one.
i put half a tank of air through the gun last night, i'll finish the break-in next weekend at the field and report back.
i look forward to learning more about the shocker and contributing when i can.

40* today. My Eigen shot great as well. Just waiting for the black sludge to go away and really fine tune it.

If you are having trouble with the bolt try using violent paintballs PB Jelly or Lurker lube. The finish on this bolt seems to really like the added mico Teflon in these lubes.
Keep break in is long on these. Keep at it. Mine is shooting amazing now. No fsdo. Smoother than the luxes I have owned in the past.
Amazing bolt.

Approximately how long is the break in? I've put maybe close to 6 full tanks of 68/45 through mine and I still develop black sludge/my bolt has crap tons of drag. Tried fitting the orings to the best of my ability, however what material oring is the best? My bolt is shredding the lurker orings bit by bit.

If you are still getting black- it's not finished breaking in. Ive put 4 full days of paintball through it, about 10 cases, probably 40 bottles of 68/45. My sludge is starting to thin and settings are dropping. The texture of the bolt is silky smooth

How tight is the fit supposed to be on the bolt guide orings? I'm not too familiar with Shockers, but I know the fit on my Luxe is not nearly as tight as my Shocker with the Eigenbolt. I've used the red orings provided, buna, and urethane. All seem to be too tight, in fact the red oring actually shredded. Any input/suggestions?

It has been posted a few pages back but it seems the inner bore of the bolt is a little smaller than it was intended to be. Your best bet is just find the best fitting ones you can and just use it. The bolt will break in a little and it will loosen up.

Yep, find the smallest 12's you can and they'll break in really quickly.

Unfortunately not necessarily. There are other contributing factors such as the size of the guides oring glands. I have 2 peoples shockers here that I haven't been able to find orings to fit properly and I suspect the guides glands are a big factor in this because I took my NDZ guide out of my own gun with regular buna 012's and they fit perfect in both bolts that I couldn't find a single ring to fit with they're own guides. And by don't fit I mean so tight the bolts can't cycle.
