DM12 Prices
Hmm, DM12 prices are still hanging in there. It's February of 2013 and I'm still seeing $1100 for new guns from the previous year. Haven't seen that in a while.

Several websites have new DM12's for $999.99, including Dye's website.

Used prices have stabilized too.
The same thing happened when the DM10 came out with DM9 prices, there's just not enough of a change to justify dumping the 12 and going to a 13 unless you're made of money.

Used prices haven't really stabalized on DM12's. People are letting them go for $575-$600 which is great b/c the ones that have sold have been in great condition too.

Yes, they've been going for 575-600 or so since about Christmas now.
Notice I said "GOING", which is different than "ASKING", where people are still asking way more than they'll actually get.

So then what's a reasonable asking price? $750?

I would say around $600. I got my Tiger PGA DM12 for that price, and the thing looks brand new.

DYE should release a matrix every other year( or once ever three years) so the matrixes can hold their value. Also DYE can have more time to actually release a matrix that is somewhat different or an improvement compared to the matrix before.
Same thing for the rotor, the difference between 2012 vs 2013 rotor is the color.(correct me if i am wrong.)
My 2 cents

You can get a lot better deals locally. I can get new for 750 but don't want to spend that but cant find used at a price I'd pay. Most want too much imo. I guess since I can get new for that I don't want to spend so much on used.

I just scooped a DM12 off the boards here for $550 shipped. It was Shane Howes of Damage D1. Deals are out there if you look around long enough and know what your willing to spend.

I am shocked by the falling resale value of the dm12. It's like Enron it's dropping so fast!
I don't understand why either, people are low balling and sellers are accepting it. I mean, Geo 2.0's are getting more cash than a dm12, same with ego11s...something isn't right. Heck even dm13s are going really cheap in the used gun forum.

dye needs to make a poppet gun if they want to release something new and awesome, not just a remilled matrix.

In my case the seller was asking $550. Given it's condition of 10/10 mechanically and 9/10 cosmetically (grips were toast) I jumped on it. Was a Damage players 2nd DM last year and he's on a PE team this year. It just worked out well for both of us.

If you go to a pro shop chances are they're cheaper. The stores such as ans and zephyr aren't aloud to post cheaper prices online. This goes for all online paintball stores. But they're aloud to in their pro shop.

its almost a shame that the value is dropping... but its great if you are looking for a new dm.
