I kind of see it being the opposite... there are a lot of BT guns out there that look like this one, but the FT-12 appears to fit the part of a rental gun a little better. It also seems less likely to be available to the public than the Slice, if I had to guess.
this, the flip top on the slice is a pain the the *** to get together(even if done correctly) and the detent requires taking the entire top off (the new tipmann just requires a quick tab)

Hopefully these hold up better than ft-12s... The field I work at got 20-30 of them to supplant our aging 98s and we've already had about six upper receivers crack open right at the hinge from the force of the hammer. We're looking at using stronger bumpers to fix the problem, but the fact of the matter is that their durability as rentals sucks.
Maybe these opening at the front instead of the rear like ft-12s will prevent that problem
