why are the 48/4500's smaller than ther 47/3000's?
how are the 48/4500 carbon fiber tanks so much smaller if they have about the same ci cause i have an aluminum 47/3000 tank and i see the small carbon fibers of the same ci and im like wtf been wondering this for a while maybe some1 can answer
Notice how the 48 and 70 are fatter? And when you look at the 45 and 68 they're not as fat around and they're longer? The 68 is longer then the 70 (by 1 1/4 inch) but that's basically everything laid out there between a stubby and more traditional length.
its because the ci size is the volume it holds inside. technically you could have a tank thats 10 inches thick and only has a 47ci volume inside. i'd assume the aluminum 3000psi tanks are made thicker than the fiber wrapped tanks.
